WASHINGTON: Following the news that Representative Andy Harris has called for the unprecedented, dangerous, and insane move to PREEMPTIVELY grant North Carolina’s electoral votes to President Trump two weeks ahead of election day, Democratic Association of Secretaries of State Travis Brimm issued the following statement:
“The head of the Freedom Caucus – Trump’s strongest allies in the House of Representatives – is calling for the suspension of democracy in North Carolina. Not content with years of eroding democratic access and norms, they’re saying the quiet part out loud – and every single American should be outraged.
“It is the job of the North Carolina Secretary of State to convene the Tar Heel State’s presidential electors.
