Gregg Amore (D)
A graduate of East Providence High School, Providence College, and New England College, Gregg Amore dedicated 27 years to teaching AP History and Civics. Recognized as Rhode Island History Teacher of the Year in 2008, he played a key role in building the new East Providence High School, which opened in 2021.
As Secretary of State, Gregg is focused on advancing election reforms, expanding voter access, and advocating for the Let RI Vote Act, which increased voter participation in Rhode Island. He has received several awards for his dedication to education and public service, including the Paul Crowley Award for his commitment to education. Gregg continues to serve his community through involvement with local organizations.
