WASHINGTON D.C. — Today, the Democratic Association of Secretaries of State (DASS) endorsed Georgia State Representative Bee Nguyen for Georgia Secretary of State. If elected, Bee would be the first Asian American woman elected to a political statewide office in Georgia.
“We’re excited to endorse Bee and her historic campaign for Secretary of State. As a dedicated voting rights advocate and lawmaker, Bee understands the importance of free and fair elections, and will fight to make voting accessible for all Georgians – regardless of income, race, ability or zip code,” said Kim Rogers, executive director of DASS. “Bee Nguyen is the strongest possible candidate we have to flip Georgia’s Secretary of State seat and her leadership is exactly what the state needs after years of attacks against Georgians’ right to vote.”
Voters, activists, and donors alike have been rallying around Bee’s run as she raised more than $1 million so far — putting her ways ahead in the Democratic field and making her a competitive challenger against the GOP.
